Gutenburg can add PDF generation to Salesforce Agentforce in two ways: use the packaged Gutenburg Agentforce product or place Gutenburg actions into your own custom Agentforce configuration.

Option 1: Use the packaged Gutenburg Agentforce product

The Gutenburg Agentforce product is available through AppExchange:

Use this option when you want the Gutenburg-provided Agentforce experience as the starting point.

Option 2: Add Gutenburg actions to a custom agent

Gutenburg actions can also be embedded into a new or existing Agentforce implementation.

Add the relevant Gutenburg action to the appropriate Agent, Topic, or agentic workflow so PDF generation becomes one step in the larger process.

Generation patterns

The packaged Gutenburg Agentforce actions mirror the same core patterns used by the Gutenburg Flow actions:

  • One-record generation
  • Many-record generation
  • Mapped generation across records

Permissions

The running Salesforce user needs a Gutenburg license and baseline Gutenburg permissions for the Agentforce document action to execute.
